Who are the 'Sporting Bears Motor Club'

For the passengers

Your chance to take a ten mile passenger ride in the car of your dreams simply for a donation to charity. The driver is usually the private owner who is donating their car and time for free. ALL the money you donate goes to children’s charities in the UK.

For the drivers

The enjoyment and satisfaction make the rides such a good time that it can become addictive for the drivers and a wonder that the government does not tax it. It’s smiles all round, for the drivers, their passengers, families and friends.

The events
Sporting Bears Dream Rides are organised by the club and run by club members with help from friends, all unpaid volunteers. Exotic Supercars are the obvious favourites, but a wide range of vehicles always proves popular from exotics, sports, and classics, through muscle, replica and kits to vintage.

Why not make a full evening of it?

Join us for the JDR 8th Charity Summer Ball

Why not make a night of it and also join us for the JDR Cable Systems Ltd Hartlepool 8th Charity Summer Ball at 18:00 on Friday 27th May 2022 at the Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, County Durham. Once again raising money for Mesothelioma UK and Readley. The theme for our event this year will be ‘The Bright Colours Ball’!

Our nominated charity, Mesothelioma UK, with the local support group Readley offer a dedicated resource centre, specifically for the asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma. Together they are dedicated to providing specialist mesothelioma information, support and education, and to improving care and treatment for all UK mesothelioma patients and their carers.

Kicking off at 17:00 in the afternoon and late into the evening The Sporting Bears Motor Club will be offering Dream Rides in a host of high end Supercars in exchange for a requested donation. Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar and Lamborghini to name a few (Sporting Bears are dedicated to supporting children’s charities).

As part of JDR’s commitment to supporting our community we organise events year on year, to raise money in support of our respective local charities. Having now raised £126,000 our charity fundraising efforts just keep getting better and better, a massive thank you to everyone. The cost of this event is £650 per table of 10 or £65 per person. At 19:00 you will then be asked to take your seats when a three-course meal will be served during an evening filled with a celebrity host, live entertainment, raffles, auction and a ‘Disco’ till late.

JDR, Mesothelioma UK and Readley greatly appreciate any support you or your company can give with sponsorship & donations. All donations of experiences, event tickets, services or goods will raise money by their individual auction or raffle. Tickets can be purchased online, in person or by post to Mandy Marriner or Christian Wain at the JDR facility address below. Once again, thank you for your support, we look forward to another spectacular event.
